Ironware

Ironware is a processed metal component crafted at the Workbench from Iron Ingots. It represents refined ironwork shaped into functional hardware, brackets, and fittings used in station upgrades and advanced construction. Ironware is the mid-game equivalent of Nails, but for higher-tier applications.

Craft Ironware at the Workbench using 5 Iron Ingots per unit. Since each Iron Ingot requires 3 Foothills Iron Ore and 1 Charcoal, a single piece of Ironware effectively costs 15 Foothills Iron Ore and 5 Charcoal. This substantial investment means careful resource planning is essential before committing to Ironware production.

Ironware is primarily used in upgrading crafting stations to their advanced versions, unlocking higher-tier recipes and improved processing speeds. It also appears in certain advanced building and equipment recipes. Because station upgrades often require multiple pieces of Ironware, plan ahead and smelt a large batch of Iron Ingots before starting your upgrade projects.
