Foothills Iron Ore

Iron Ore, known in-game as "Foothills Iron Ore," is a mining resource found in the Foothills biome of Windrose. It appears as harvestable mineral deposits on rocky outcrops and hillsides throughout the elevated terrain. Players need a pickaxe to mine it, and deposits are scattered generously across the Foothills landscape.

Once mined, Iron Ore is smelted into Iron Ingots at a furnace. Iron Ingots are a core crafting material used in a broad range of weapons, tools, armor, and building components. Progressing through the mid-game without a steady iron supply is extremely difficult, as many essential recipes call for this metal.

Players should establish efficient mining routes through the Foothills to maximize their Iron Ore collection per trip. Since iron is consumed in large quantities across many crafting disciplines, maintaining a surplus is always advisable. Pairing mining runs with Aloe Leaf gathering in nearby meadows makes for productive Foothills expeditions.
