Tree Bark is a natural material harvested from trees across various islands. It is a simple resource to collect, but it plays a vital role in the alchemy supply chain as a key ingredient in Tannin production. Players engaged in leather crafting will need a steady supply.

Harvest Tree Bark by interacting with trees. Many tree types yield bark when struck or gathered, making it widely available across all biomes. Collecting bark during regular wood-chopping sessions is the most efficient approach, as it avoids dedicated farming trips.

Tree Bark is primarily used in brewing Tannin at the Alchemy Table (1 Clay Bottle + 2 Tree Bark per craft). Since Tannin feeds directly into Tanned Leather production, and Tanned Leather is needed for a wide range of armor and weapon recipes, Tree Bark is indirectly important to the entire mid-game equipment progression. Gather it consistently and keep a stockpile alongside your other alchemy ingredients.
