Plant Fiber

Plant Fiber is a lightweight raw material harvested by gathering shrubs and small bushes. It is one of the first resources available to new players and plays a key role in early-game crafting. Despite its simplicity, Plant Fiber remains useful well into mid-game progression.

To collect Plant Fiber, interact with the low shrubs and bushes scattered across starter islands. These plants regrow quickly, so revisiting the same area after a short time will yield more. Harvesting near coastal and grassland zones tends to be most productive.

Plant Fiber is primarily used to craft Rope (3 Plant Fiber + 5 Wood) and Coarse Fabric (3 Plant Fiber + 5 Wood), both produced at the Workbench. Rope feeds into fishing gear, tools, and various station recipes, while Coarse Fabric is essential for early armor sets and Bandages. Keeping a healthy stockpile of Plant Fiber will save frequent return trips later.
