Coarse Fabric

Coarse Fabric is a basic textile crafted at the Workbench, serving as the earliest cloth material in Windrose. While rough and utilitarian, it fills a critical role in early armor crafting, medical supplies, and station construction before higher-quality textiles become available.

Produce Coarse Fabric at the Workbench using 3 Plant Fiber and 5 Wood. The recipe is identical in cost to Rope, so plan your Plant Fiber allocation between the two carefully. Harvesting shrubs in bulk before a crafting session ensures you can produce both without interruption.

Coarse Fabric is used in crafting early-game armor sets, Bandages for healing, and several workstation recipes. It provides basic protection when tailored into clothing and serves as a stepping stone toward the superior Linen Fabric available at the Spinning Wheel later in the game. Prioritize crafting enough Bandages to keep yourself safe during exploration.
