Rope is a versatile processed material crafted at the Workbench from Plant Fiber and Wood. It is one of the first processed resources players will create and remains useful across many stages of the game. Rope connects the raw gathering phase to more sophisticated crafting and station building.

Craft Rope at the Workbench using 3 Plant Fiber and 5 Wood per unit. Both ingredients are abundant on starter islands, so producing Rope in bulk is straightforward. Keep a reserve of Plant Fiber specifically for Rope production to avoid shortages when station-building demands spike.

Rope is a required component in numerous crafting station recipes, tool blueprints, and fishing equipment. It appears in construction recipes for workstations, rigging for ships, and various utility items. Because it feeds into so many downstream recipes, maintaining a stockpile of 20 or more Rope at all times is a sound practice.
