Copper Ore

Copper Ore is a raw mineral resource found by mining deposits inside Copper Caves. It is the first metal ore players will encounter and marks the transition from primitive crafting into metallurgy. Acquiring a reliable supply of Copper Ore opens up access to metal tools, weapons, and advanced crafting stations.

Copper Caves are located on starter and early-tier islands. Bring a pickaxe and a light source when venturing inside, as the caves can be dark and may contain hostile creatures. Ore veins appear as greenish-tinted rock formations along cave walls. Mining each vein yields several pieces of Copper Ore.

The primary use for Copper Ore is smelting it into Copper Ingots at the Smelting Furnace, which requires 6 Copper Ore and 1 Charcoal per ingot. Copper Ingots then feed into recipes for weapons, tools, Nails, Copper Pot, and various station components. Stockpiling Copper Ore early will smooth out your progression considerably.
