Once fully stacked, the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts actually outdamages most other weapons in sustained fights, making it a top-tier choice for prolonged encounters against bosses and high-health enemies.

The Epic variant of this weapon adds an extraordinary mechanic: when a bleeding target dies, the Bleeding effect transfers to nearby enemies. This chain-bleed mechanic turns the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts into a phenomenal tool for clearing groups of enemies, as each kill spreads the damage-over-time to the next target. In dense encounters, a single fully stacked enemy death can cascade into multiple kills as the 200 DPS Bleeding effect jumps from target to target.
