Ward is a defensive buff exclusively granted by the Epic rarity Executioner halberd, providing a +15% damage reduction bonus while Rage stacks are at maximum. Unlike standalone defensive buffs, Ward is intrinsically linked to the Rage mechanic, meaning it can only be activated by first building 3 stacks of Rage through aggressive combat. This design creates a compelling risk-reward loop: the Executioner wielder must commit to sustained offensive pressure to earn their defensive reward, making Ward a badge of combat mastery rather than a passive shield.

The +15% damage reduction from Ward stacks multiplicatively with armor and other defensive talents, making it significantly more valuable on already-tanky builds. A heavily armored Executioner wielder with Ward active becomes remarkably difficult to bring down, as each point of incoming damage is reduced by both armor value and the Ward percentage.
