Sulfur

Sulfur is a volatile mineral resource mined on advanced islands. Recognizable by its bright yellow coloring, Sulfur deposits are found in specific geological formations in higher-tier biomes. It is a critical ingredient in Gunpowder production and, by extension, the entire ranged weapons system.

To gather Sulfur, travel to advanced islands and search for yellow-tinted mineral deposits, often found near volcanic terrain, hot springs, or rocky outcrops. A pickaxe is required for extraction. These islands tend to host more dangerous enemies, so come prepared with decent gear and healing supplies.

Sulfur is combined with Ash at the Millstone (25 Sulfur + 25 Ash) to produce 5 Gunpowder. Since Gunpowder is consumed steadily by ranged weapon users, maintaining a healthy Sulfur reserve is important. Consider establishing a forward base or storage cache on a Sulfur-rich island to reduce the logistical burden of repeated long-distance mining trips.
