Plague Wood

Plague Wood is a corrupted timber resource harvested from plague-infected trees found in the Swamp biome of Windrose. These twisted, darkened trees are visually distinct from normal vegetation, making them easy to identify once you enter swamp territory. Harvesting them requires standard woodcutting tools.

The primary use for Plague Wood is in creating Essence Arborum at a Large Smelting Furnace. Combined with 3 Charcoal, 1 Plague Wood yields 3 Essence Arborum, which is then used in crafting Ingot Arborum and other enchanted items. This places Plague Wood at the base of the enchanting material chain.

Players venturing into swamps should always collect Plague Wood when they see it, as it feeds into some of the most powerful crafting recipes in the game. The swamp biome can be dangerous, but the materials found there, including Plague Wood, are indispensable for endgame progression.
