Clay

Clay is a raw resource collected from clay patches using a pickaxe. Recognizable by their distinct reddish-brown coloring, these deposits appear in specific areas on various islands. Clay is essential for building several important crafting stations and containers.

Look for clay patches along riverbanks, shorelines, and low-lying muddy terrain. Equip a pickaxe and mine the patches directly. Clay deposits can sometimes be clustered together, so once you find one patch, search the surrounding area for more.

Clay is a required component for constructing the Charcoal Kiln and the Smelting Furnace, two stations central to material processing. It is also used to craft the Clay Pot (5 Wood + 6 Clay at the Workbench) and the Clay Bottle. The Clay Pot is needed to build the Alchemy Table, making Clay indirectly vital for potion brewing and Tannin production.
