Smelting Furnace

The Smelting Furnace processes raw ore into metal ingots, which are required for weapons, armor, tools, and advanced building components. This outdoor-only station is the backbone of your metalworking operations and a prerequisite for virtually all mid-game and late-game crafting.

Feed the Furnace with ore gathered from mining nodes and fuel it with Charcoal produced at the Charcoal Kiln. The resulting ingots are used at the Weaponsmith, Armor and Clothing Workshop, and various other stations. Common ores produce standard ingots, while rarer deposits yield specialized metals needed for higher-tier recipes.

Place the Smelting Furnace outdoors near your Charcoal Kiln and ore storage for streamlined production. As your needs grow, you may want to upgrade to the Large Smelting Furnace, which can process advanced ores like Mire Metal. The basic Furnace remains useful even then for handling bulk standard ore smelting.
