Momentum

Momentum is a Tier 2 Crusher talent that increases damage by 10%, 14%, or 20% for each additional target hit by a single attack. When a sweeping halberd cleave or a wide club swing connects with two, three, or more enemies simultaneously, Momentum rewards that crowd-hitting capability with escalating damage applied to all targets struck. At max rank, hitting three enemies in a single swing means each of them takes 40% additional damage, turning the Crusher into an unmatched force in group combat scenarios where enemies cluster together.

Momentum synergizes brilliantly with the Crusher's area-of-effect weapon selection and supporting talents. Bonecrusher amplifies the crude damage that clubs deal to every target in the swing arc, and Momentum multiplies that amplified damage further based on crowd density. Massive adds flat two-handed weapon damage to each hit, which then gets boosted by Momentum's per-target scaling. Dominating Presence creates an incredible feedback loop: Momentum-enhanced swings kill enemies in groups, each kill triggers Dominating Presence's 35% damage buff, and the buffed follow-up swings with Momentum active become even more devastating against the remaining clustered enemies.

For build optimization, Momentum demands weapons with the widest possible attack arcs. Halberds are the premier choice, as their sweeping strikes are designed to hit multiple enemies and benefit maximally from Momentum's per-target scaling. Clubs with overhead slam or wide horizontal swing attacks also work well. Perfected Form is a critical companion talent, since multi-target combat drains Stamina rapidly and you need the reduced costs to sustain your assault. The Pikeman's Armor set provides the durability to stand in the middle of enemy groups where Momentum is most effective.
