Skewered Meat is the go-to early cooking option for players who have started hunting. Since it only requires a single piece of Meat, it can be prepared as soon as a Cooking Fire is built. The 15-minute buff duration is a significant upgrade over the 7-minute buff from eating raw foods, making it worth the minimal effort to cook. As players unlock more complex recipes like Bacon and Eggs or Meat Salad, Skewered Meat becomes less appealing, but it remains a reliable fallback when other ingredients are scarce.
