Torn Doublet

The Torn Doublet is a Common chest armor piece with 90 DEF and no set bonus. As one of the first items available to new players, it serves as a stopgap while you gather resources for better equipment. Its low defense rating means you will take significant damage from even early-game enemies, so caution is advised.

Pair the Torn Doublet with the Headband and Torn Boots for a full starter loadout. Since it belongs to no armor set, there is no incentive to keep wearing it once upgrades become available. Head to the Armor and Clothing Workshop as soon as you can to craft the Survivor's Jacket or a Rare chest piece that aligns with your preferred playstyle, such as the Conquistador's Cuirass for tanking or the Flibustier's Jacket for agile fencing builds.
